Agila Series Bunka Knife
Inspired by traditional Japanese design, the Agila Series Bunka Knife is a versatile, all-purpose blade that bridges the gap between a chef’s knife and a vegetable cleaver. Hand-forged in the Philippines, this knife combines precision, balance, and strength—making it ideal for both professional chefs and home cooks who demand performance and craftsmanship in their tools.
Crafted from full-tang carbon leaf spring steel, the Bunka offers exceptional hardness, edge retention, and cutting power. The flat edge profile excels at push cutting and chopping, delivering clean, efficient cuts through vegetables, fruits, and boneless meats. Its distinctive “k-tip” or sword tip enhances versatility, allowing for precise slicing, piercing, and delicate trimming—perfect for working with fish, meats, or fine garnishes.
The wider blade provides stability during chopping and allows for easy scooping and food transfer, improving workflow and efficiency in the kitchen. While extremely durable, this blade is not rust-resistant and requires proper maintenance—always dry thoroughly after washing and apply a thin layer of oil to protect the steel from oxidation.
The Kamagong (Philippine Ebony) handle complements the blade’s strength with natural elegance. Renowned for its density and durability, the Kamagong wood handle is ergonomically shaped for a comfortable, non-slip grip, ensuring precise control even during extended use. Each knife includes a handcrafted wooden saya for safe storage and sophisticated presentation.
