Agila Series German-Inspired Chef’s Knife – 185 mm
Inspired by the classic German chef’s knife, the Agila Series 185 mm Chef’s Knife combines traditional Western design with Filipino craftsmanship. This full-tang knife is expertly hand-forged in the Philippines, offering exceptional balance, power, and control for both professional and home kitchens.
Forged from carbon leaf spring steel, the blade delivers impressive hardness and edge retention—making it ideal for chopping meats, slicing vegetables, and handling tough cuts of steak. The robust spine and gently curved edge make it especially effective for rocking motions, while its fine tip ensures precision for delicate tasks.
The handle is crafted from locally sourced Kamagong (Philippine Ebony), prized for its density, strength, and rich dark tone. Shaped for ergonomic comfort, it provides a secure, non-slip grip, even during extended use, ensuring superior handling and control.
As this blade is made from high-carbon steel, it is not rust-resistant. For proper maintenance, always dry the knife thoroughly after washing and apply a light coat of oil regularly to protect against corrosion and maintain peak performance.
Each knife comes with a handcrafted wooden saya, combining practicality with a refined aesthetic for safe storage and presentation.
