Their straight blade edge is perfect for cutting long veggies in a single chop. Also, the added weight of the blade allows it to fall through food more easily while you chop.

Nakiri is considered to be a useful knife to cut without splitting or cracking relatively hard vegetables. Usually used as a vegetable chopping knife, Nakiri knife is very popular among vegetarians.

Loosely translated, Gyuto means “cow sword”. It was given this name as the original use for this knife was cutting large cuts of beef. A Gyuto Knife is the Japanese version of the classic Western Chef's knife. It always has curved blade profile, which allows for doing a rock motion when slicing or chopping. And its pointy tip helps assists with getting into hard to reach places.

A Gyuto will take care of most of the chopping, slicing, and dicing you’ll perform in the kitchen. They are multi purpose knives intended to handle as many tasks as possible.

At its core is SK85 high-carbon steel, chosen for its hardness and ability to take on a razor-thin, aggressive edge. It’s clad in carbon steel and copper, then etched and blackened to bring out a storm-dark finish that feels as intense as it looks.
